About «Awon» initiative


Awon is an awareness campaign targeting community members and it was launched by the Family Affairs Council under the slogan # Our Family_Awon, to instill the culture of volunteering, and enhance the spirit of cooperation and responsibility towards the family and its members in the available fields.

The Initiative focuses on raising awareness of volunteering in issues affecting the life of society, and mainly targets the family, women, elderly people and children, and motivates them to provide aid through the areas that suit their capabilities in the National Volunteering Platform to contribute to achieving the objectives of the Kingdom’s Vision2030.

Strategic linkage between Awon Initiative and the Kingdom’s Vision 2030

The Family Affairs Council acts to empower the family and enhance its role in sustainable development according to the Kingdom’s Vision 2023, through excellence in programs and services that empower the family and its concerned authorities.

Awon Initiative intends to create linking with one of the most important tools of the strategy that aims at enabling the building of integrative initiatives that contribute to the sustainable development of families, women, children and elderly people, providing them with the skills needed to manage their lives, enhancing their position in society and their opportunities to achieve the best results of human wealth and sustainable social welfare.

*The Family Affairs Council launches the “Awon” Campaign to raise awareness of the importance of volunteering*

The Family Affairs Council launched an awareness Campaign titled “Awon”, to enhance the spirit of volunteering among members of society, and instill the values of giving as part of the Council’s efforts to increase family participation in social responsibility programs, and to motivate its members to provide aid and assistance, to ensure their effective contribution to achieving the objectives of the Kingdom’s Vision2030.

The Campaign, which was launched under the slogan # Our Family_Awon, aims to instill the culture of social responsibility and the spirit of cooperation between family members, and raise awareness of social issues that affect the family and society, and the importance of providing assistance in them, and to increase participation in voluntary activities suitable for their capabilities.

The Campaign acts to direct individuals to the volunteer fields available in the National Volunteering Platform, strengthen ties between family members by enhancing their participation in voluntary activities, raise awareness of the religious, value, psychological and social benefits they achieve, and enhance the concept of volunteering and make it simple for community members.

The Campaign, which targets the family, women, children and elderly people, adopts several methods to achieve the intended objectives, including the dissemination of various educational, awareness and interactive content through the Council’s social media platforms and accounts, in addition to the electronic platform that will be launched under the name “Awon” to enhance the digital content of the campaign.

It is worth mentioning that Awon Campaign – which aims to motivate family members to volunteer with their skills, experience and time – intends to achieve the Council’s mission of excellence in the programs and services which empower the family and its concerned authorities, and build integrative initiatives that contribute to the sustainable development of the family, women, children and elderly people.
